I just got this link in a newsletter. Helene Eriksen is a dance ethnologist who researches and performs a lot of Middle Eastern and Roma dances. This is a recital that was filmed in Seattle.

    Yes, this is a great video and some of my friends are in it. Helene is wonderful and so knowledgable. Wish we could get her down here! I took some private lessons from her in Moroccan tray dancing. Very interesting....

    Keep an eye out - I recently got an email from a friend that was in the program you watched and is continuing on into the next program- they have some great stuff planned!
